It was hairspray, but I found a better way to do it that doesn't need the color locking power of hairspray

Haha, that would be some good ol' fashioned top-stitching
Took me about 4 hours (off and on) to do the seats and doors. You basically interweave the thread through the already placed stitching. Cost me $5 (price of the thread) and one Saturday afternoon.
The results are stunning and you can cut the thread out when you want to sell the car. It just requires a patient hand. Btw, auto upholstery shops will do this for you, but not sure what the cost is.

That looks so much better than mine. What else are you going to stitch?

Opinions on brake caliper and wheel color

Your interior Is amazing! That is exactly the interior I imagined adding the acid green stitching too. You even have a glove box O.o !
I've added the stitching to the shift boot, hand brake, airbag and door handle, all the stitching on the seats (beside the cross stitching you sit on). The two places left are the steering wheel and the leather bridge.

Great minds, my friend
You know how I feel about the green, but the stitching idea...did you find that online somewhere?
I have been working on doing some of mine in white, no kidding. I thought I came up with the idea
Great to see a fellow diy mod junkie
Also working on a custom shift boot right now. I made a white one last year, but it was too much on the black interior. This new one will have white leather on the top of the knob that turns into a stripe as it goes down the boot (imagine the stock knob with the silver trim piece in white and continuing down the boot). The top of the knob will have an appropriate sized metal crest instead of the normal shift map...maybe...if it looks good

Thanks for the compliment. I have everything color stitched also, except the steering wheel and the part of the seat you sit on. I wish I had thought of your weaving method. I got a silver paint pen and painted each stitch.

Originally I used a green paint pen but couldn't get the thread to give off enough color so I decided to bite the bullet and start stitching.

I also quite fancy changing the caliper colour to the Acid Green as seen on the Hybrids. Not too sure if its a bit over the top, so as above i have taken to photoshop to see if i like it. Too much or not?

I like it, but I'm biased
I think the small decal would tie in nicely without being over the top, but I think it would look better behind the door (under the vent, near the rocker panel).

Thanks Particlewave! The green against the black wheels looks well cool. I couldn't make up my mind with the decal, i was trying to tie in the green, which i think can work nicely in the right place.

My vote would be the second picture with the decal down low. I like my red calipers but what do I know?
