Like you I wanted mesh in the rear difusser openings but played with a few ideas. Finally the best and easiest one I came up with was to use velcro tape, loop it into the mesh and tape it to the top and bottom of the mesh. To create the mesh, I created a template of the opening, then hand bent the mesh to the contours of the template. I didnt want to drill holes or use screws to secure it and all is reversible without damaging the difusser. It holds tight.

The best way to hook up the DRL, pull out your side marker lights, take a knife and carve out the wire insulation for (+) and ground wiring, connect and solder the DRL wiring to them and wrap up with electrical tape. careful not to cut yourself and make sure the switch is on off position.

Also please note: doing it this way is not always legal in your state, so do it accepting you may need to either cover your DRL during state inspection time or take them off. I've done it like this for my 997, Miata, and Sahara and never had any issues for the last 6 years living in VA.

cbbepop, the way I did it was using a DRL kit similar to this one: LED Daytime Running Light (DRL) Automatic Control On/Off Switch Relay Harness : Amazon.com : Automotive

This allowed me to connect my DRL directly to the battery and remove it if I don't want them safe and quickly. Just another option...

ebay has them just do a search on boxster rear diffuser. You have to paint and match to your car, at the same time get those ugly black rubber bumperettes painted to match also. Anyways, diffuser comes with 3 screw in bolts but they were too short, so I had to buy longer ones from LOWES. 2 of the holes you can reuse where the oem screws currently go to hold the exhaust shield to the bumper. The last bolt will need to be drilled into the bumper near the exhaust tip. Have a bodyshop do it if you are not comfortable doing this kind of stuff yourself. As for adding the grill vents inside, well thats more complex but I managed to make my own and securing it with velcro tape as illustrated on this thread earlier.

Thanks and good luck on the LEDs. They look cool but here's a tip, you dont have to remove the front bumper to put them on, but you will need to make a small hole to run the wires into the rubber molded air openings on both sides of the grille as they are tightly fit and sealed off. when you peek a look, you will see what I mean. That rubber can be punctured to get the wire thru. You can get the DRL wiring harness kit that connects to the battery or do as I did and tap the side markers.
Its not hard, take your time, solder correctly and it will work like a charm.

Yes sir, its the best caliper paint you can get, I've used it on my 997, 996, and Sahara. Make sure you use 3-4 coats to get a nice thick covering.

Does the EZlip stuff come off if it scrapes. I am thinking of adding it to protect my bumper, which I am scraping a lot. I know it will make it lower and scrape even more, but I rather just replace that stick on stuff.

It could come off if you scrape it hard enough. When you park, try not to hug the curb, always give the frontend a foot spacing from the curb, you will keep your car newer for sure. Speed bumps are a diff story. It seems pretty strong and tight now just using the 3M backing tape but you can certainly add screws to secure it more to the bumper.
