Swapping the CD Holder for the shelf is super easy. I popped off the trim on the side of the console, just pull from the back and then pushed from the rear on the CD holder. I routed the cable from the radio down to the open space. I dremeled an opening in the shelf to slide the connector through so that my iPhone can sit on the shelf. Installing the cable was super simple as well.

Did you have to remove the stereo or just reach under and connect? I may have to remove mine to unplug the cd changer if the aux cable requires it I have the cr 220 tape deck with a cd changer in the frunk
