LED headlights...Do you guys like it?
I want to put these on my black boxster...what do you guys think? it costs around 900$ for the headlights
http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1334125682.jpg Here is my car :D http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1334125887.jpg Also, this is how it look...very nice! especially the turn signal http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xAQWNaBMEGc |
I normally hate aftermarket headlights but I really like those
|
I also like those headlights, my only concern is that they might be too much chrome? I would also loved if the had a single or dual led turning signal row(s) that did not curved up upward into the side of the fog light. I might buy the black version of this headlight, probably more sporty and updated look?
|
Sadly they don't have the black version, I wish they make one :( and yeah I also agree
with you that it might be too much chrome but i think it looks nice while the car is running with those LED on may be? http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1334175429.jpg  |
VERY NICE! DANG, they're just too expensive considering the "brand". Hows the build?
|
I forgot where, but I believe it was on one of the 996 forums said the quality is not that great. Also, the headlight projectors are using halogen bulbs(which you can install an HID kit, but the cut off line and quality is not good).

thanks to RandallNeighbour who got a hold of Xtreme Motorcars, he was able to get a special price for 986forum members at $795 per set. they offer the chrome and black version. check the tread here
http://986forum.com/forums/diy-project-guides/34492-remove-amber-film-headlights.html anyways, here is the only pic of the black one. I think both would look nice. wonder if any members have bought these headlights and can post more pics. http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1334182460.jpg |
Oh wow:eek: I didn't know they have black one too, thank you xtremecc for the info.
cheers! |

Did anyone ever find a version with the black inner housing (non-chrome)? I thought I saw it before, unless I'm my memory is just filling in blanks...

Please post here if you are interested in a bulk buy. I'll step up and try to figure a good pricing for us. |
Black ones also.
Also i would think they would be perfect with just a straight row of LEDs. My amber ones are getting yellow. |
Black headlights
Just got mine today!
I love them, quality is excellent and fit is bang on! i recommend them if you like the look of the black! They look much much more high quality then the chrome ones! got mine from Jeff at xtreme motorcars! took a while on back order but well worth the wait!!!! Thanks Again Jeff! http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1346186973.jpg http://986forum.com/forums/uploads01...1346187055.jpg |
Wow if that's not an add I don't know what is.
|
Anyone else try these that's not currently sleeping with Jeff? :p
I wouldn't mind an unbiased opinion. That is one well done modified Boxster though, and from those pic the headlights look sharp. I wonder, do the LEDs stay on as DRL? Any way to turn them off and use for just turn signals Do the fog lights work (haven't seen any photos of them on)? Wonder what those black one would look like on a black 986...the chrome ones would be too much contrast. |
I'd be interested in the black ones too for my black box. Can't seem to find any pictures.
Anyone have a link to the black housing? |
