One more totally free mod (sans the time investment of an hour or so) would be to take off your rims and reposition your center caps so the bottom of the Porsche logo points toward your valve stem on each wheel.
That's how the Pcar racing pit crews know where to look when she comes in
I dream of the day I can get my car resprayed properly as you have done. That's an amazing looking car. Pity it's so cold in Norway that you can't really enjoy the car year round! I visited Oslo in January a few years ago and you have more white stuff than Minnesota, and that's saying something.

May not have to remove wheels for center caps
If the center caps are like mine then they have a hole in them designed for a Porsche wire tool (substitute bent coat hanger) to fit in and pull them out without having to remove the wheels. Whenever I pull mine off I always line them up with the valve stems but they never stay that way, usually after the first trip around the block they've rotated.

Pedals
Also just noticed that you have stock pedals in the car. There are some nice pedal covers out there. Suncoast has a nice set for about $100 (no affiliation).

Very tastefully done. Thanks for not installing a rear wing. The backend of the 986 is to beautiful to mess up with a wing.

Great looking Boxster my friend.
Can you tell me how involved the front end conversion is? Like did you need fenders, lights, front bumper skin, bonnet?

Add trunk decal? PORSCHE letters?
Hi guys. Sun is out here in Norway, so I just took my box out from wither storage and though I am pretty satisfied with all the mods I have done, I still think the back end is a little naked.
So I have been thinking of adding a decal, and I really like the PORSCHE decal that later models now have. I sawa a picture of the 2013 Boxster and really liked it.
What tdo you guys (and gals) think.. ? Add or not? Add PORSCHE or perhaps both PORSCHE and Boxster like on the 2013? Anyone done wither of these? Some pictures would help.
Here's the 2013:

External mods include:
- 996TT front end conversion w/bi-xenons
- 03+ rear end w/PDC retrofit (Bosch kit)
- De-amered side and back lights
- Aerokit 2 side members
- 03+ four bow roof with glass window, roof lining and SmartTOP one touch operation
- 15mm front and 21mm rear H&R spacers
- Cargraphic muffler (+de-snorkled and removed intake muffler/resonator box)
- Complete re-spray with two layers (multiple coats each) of clear
- Dull plastic, like cowl, mirror housings, etc, was replaced
Internal mods include:
- New 3-spoke wheel
- Kenwood double din navi (82xx..something)
- Carbon fiber shifter, handbrake, door sills and other details
- Custom red carbon fiber instrument surroundings
- White instrument dials
- Silver trim details
- Plastic details updated to soft touch equivalents
- Porsche High Performance Audio (new front and door speakers + amp)
- Bose rear deck sub w/Infinity Kappa drivers
- Lloyd mats
- New style interior roof light w/ambient leds
- 987 shifter mechanism for a smoother and shorter throw
- Red center console w/Ipod dock in lid
- Double seam leather lid for center console
- Red safety belts
++
I was looking to what I could to improve upon/update the car while staying with an oem looks. Even tossed out a few mods that I did not love. First set of mats had a red border that I did not like (it was vinyl), two sets of alu rings for the instrument cluster did not get installed, only the foot rest of the alu pedals made it into the car, a zeinwing was installed and removed the same day, and a Fiberwerks Daytona 2 wing did not even get painted. Still not sure about the red fiber glass instrument surrounding, but it kind of grew on me.
I really love the result and the experience working on the car. - And it looks even better in person than on photographs.

I think adding porsche would be sweet. The trick, however, is to find a high quality decal such as the ones in the picture. Also keep in mind that depending on where you put it, when the spoiler comes up it might block the decal.

A lot of people have removed "Boxster" and added "PORSCHE".

That's what I was hoping.. but the only pictures I have found are using the panamera badge, and it looks smaller than the one on the new 981 boxster. Is the Panamera one the same as on the 991? I like the panamera badge, but would like to check my options. Do you know of anyone who has done a combo like on the 981 on a 986? I'm thinking it might be too much..

Very tastefully done!
Is the 996TT bumper a direct bolt onto the 986?
Is the car lowered?
Again awesome job! Cheers!

@3point2: Thank you!
The 996TT-bumper is not a direct bolt on. The headlights have a different shape, so you have to change the entire front end - including the fenders. There are however aftermarket 996TT-look bumpers that are made to work with the regular "fired egg"-headlights.
The car is not lowered, but the wheels has spacers. I guess the added stance might pull it down a bit (as well as age), as it does appear to ride a little lower than other Boxsters I've seen. Oh, and it has side members.. I guess they optically makes it look lower. I am glad it is not lower than it is, I'm already getting quite a rash on the front spoiler.. should not have been painted! The spacers alone, by bringing out the wheels, makes a huge difference in appearance and well worth it. Could probably hurt the handling some, though.. but oh well...
@xtremecc: Thank you! Appreciate the feedback. Yes, it's a lot of (fun) work, and I agree - the color is sweet.

Awesome looking Boxster! Very clean!
Although I am not a fan of the "Porsche" script on the tail decks of late (I think it breaks up the lines too much).

PORSCHE and boxster on the rear deck would be too many letters.
I think PORSCHE and 986S would be better.
Some gun metal 18 pound forgeline wheels would be my next mod if you've gone this far. Withe PORSCHE door graphics in a dark grey matching color.

The interior of this car is superb. Did you get it professionally done (the trim and custom red console) or was it DIY?
