Let's be careful about using copyrighted Photos

Guys,
I know we all like instant gratification but we also don't want to run afoul of any copyright laws. Next time let's post a "URL" that forum folks can link to.

Thanks
Richard

Unless you know specifically of issues, I've seen pics from other websites posted on a ton of forums without any issues for years. Plus, it says Autoweek right on it. It's not like jwocky is claiming it's his or something.

Not trying to tell you how to run things, just a suggestion...

Lux,
It is apparent that the pics are from the Autoweek.com website. You can go to the site and read the copyright notice @ http://www.autoweek.com/page.cms?pageId=13 . The punchline is don't copy & paste the pics/text without prior written consent. This is pretty standard text.

I can't comment on other sites but they probably were violating some copyright too. All I'm suggesting is we stay clear of any copyright infringement laws by posting URLs.

So now let's get back to enjoying the pics!

Just thought I would say some stuff that I've read about the Cayman...

There is a broad misconception that this is going to be a Boxster Coupe. It is more like a Mid-Engine 911. I know some of you are going to disagree, but lets think about it. Its getting a 315 hp 3.4L Flat-6 which is creaping ever closer to the prestegious 911. I have a feeling that this is going to lead to a increase in performance in the 911 which is something that is greatly needed.

I am definately excited for this vehicle to come out. It is going to be jaw dropping...

How do you come to the conclusion that it's more 911? It's based on the Boxster chassis. Wheelbase will be nowhere near 911 numbers (even if they were to stuff an engine in the back seat of the 911). Fact is, there's nothing 911 about the Cayman...other than 911 ass kicking.

Talking

There is no such thing as a mid engine 911. To my knowledge, there never has been one and the 997 is of course, rear engine.

Sorry but to have ANY consistency in models, logic etc, this new coupe is a Boxster. Calling it after a Carib island doesn't change the laws of physics or logic.

IHMO!
