time to bump this thread. i came across the same rims on ebay and some sites.
also went down to wheel enhancement in culver city. they're a big knock-off seller but wouldn't carry these because they're made in china. they only sell italian made knock-offs. ummm, ok whatever. cheaper online anyway.

so the weight is an issue. 28 lbs is a bit heavy. my current fikse fm10 weigh 22 lbs in the rear. to be honest, my track days are limited to the non-timed variety and i'm fairly certain that the extra weight wouldn't impact my auto-X times enough to worry about it since i'm not posting extremely great times anyway.

my biggest issue is that in this picture the tires look a little rubber bandish.

i really like how the sidewalls look on this one. so, obviously, lowering the car a little more would help to reduce the gap, which i think contributes to the rubber band effect.

but here's the same rims painted black on a cayman and it looks better but hard to tell because its backlit and maybe the black rims help the sidewall look less rubber bandish.

maybe i should just stick with 18s on the boxster, get some spacers and some suspension alterations and call it a day.

the gt3 tire size is 235/35 ZR 19 front, 305/30 ZR 19 rear

and the white boxster with the 19 carrera sports tire size is
Goodyear F1 GS-D3's - 235/35/19 & 265/30/19

so the fronts are the same exact tire and the rears are the same aspect ratio but on a narrower tire. and 30% of 40mm is only 13mm of sidewall height difference on the rear. maybe a different profile because of the type of tire? maybe an optical illusion because of the suspension height? maybe i'm just tripping. i really want to pull the trigger but want to make sure it looks more like the gt3 setup and not too rubber bandish.
