How can this car be street legal? No bumpers, height & width restrictions are obviously not legal.

did a little searching found this

http://use.com/search.pl?sort=recent&q=street+legal+indy+car&type =1&cat=0

sure dosen't sound like an indy car (that would be my main reason for buying one not that i ever would!). Did a little more looking around they replaced the motor with a small block chevy... so baisicaly ur getting a crappy chevy kit car, with a better interior than most chevy's mind you!

Still dont know how that could be legal open wheel and all???

Garage
Plymoth Prowlers had the same open wheel fronts, but I really don't see it being legal anyway.

Hey Rick I was thinking about the prowler too, but they still have a wheel cover gaurd or whatever they call it! Maybe they found a loophole but I bet you if you were driving that car on the street you would be pulled over by every cop no matter how legal it claims to be! I know if I was a cop and I saw an indy car driving down the street I would be detaining him for quite some time while I determined how the hell he got it legal

i know a guy in atlanta that has a lola formula car that's street legal. apparently there's a way to register them so they can be driven to and from car shows or something. it's some type of special limited show car tag. his license plate is attached to a stick on the back of the car so others can see it. hysterical.

yeah, same with the show cars, if you only buy it for that theres no need to have plates all the time, its like one time fee, and then you can only drive it from shop to shop, or ur house to a shop, and to shows. and you get a funky plate.
im sure u can do that w that car as well, but if it doesn't have a cup holder, we dont want it haha, we got boxsters for that. lol
