I agree with some of your statement
that the guy may be going about this the wrong way to some extent but I think your quote of is only half true as Jake keeps so much of this stuff going himself and to some extents attacks or...

Love it...curious how much if any weight is lost over the
other "lesser" models as this spyder does not seem to be as minimalistic as the previous generation (full door panels/handles/folding top/etc). I think these cars look really good in white too, I...

Why would you want to do this to your 944?

So basically it is a mod that makes your headlights
useless is what I gather. Please don't compare the 944 to a camaro either...944 owners usually do not have chains or mullets.

I knew it was only a matter of time before we started seeing posts
like these. It's a shame that cars like this immediately get purchased by speculators and people trying to earn a quick buck.

Replacement of the top yourself is a possibility
if you have some basic tools (torx bits for one) and ideally a helping hand. There are various places on the internet where the install process is documented. It took me the better part of a full...

If they are the sport seats (with the funky bolsters) then
the backing is more than likely plastic. The standard seats were the ones available with a vinyl/leather backing and not the plastic shell of the sport seats.

I think the reservoir is next to the power steering reservoir on top of the engine:D.

they have rub marks on the back I assume from the firewall carpet as well as some near the top near the roll bars that are a bit perplexing. I was going to try and repaint them and the similar areas...

Had the same codes a few years ago...car ran rough when first started
and engine was cold (overnight). I eventually took it to a indie euro mechanic that deduced that it could be the AOS (had recently been replaced), Air leak, MAF, or that the engine was defective. The...

PPI says the top's "tension straps" not tight, how much to ask to knock off price?

I would at least verify the leaf/tension springs are correctly oriented
before I spent a lot of cash having the top troubleshooted and/or repaired. Mine did the same thing when I had the parts on backwards...it's common issue if the top has been replaced or worked on at...

If the top has the cable's falling outside of the trim piece
like in the photo posted, there is a chance that the tension springs at the base of the top above the door are flipped especially if the top has been replaced and someone put them on backwards. I put...

I would go with the 1080 over the dinoc as it stretches easier as it is not quite as thick. Either of them are durable as long as you do not scratch them with something sharp and they look the same....

The bumpers are stock to the 2003 & 2004 models. There is
an aftermarket piece that replicates the "spats" to some extent for the 97-02 models.

What would they do with the navigation system, 12 way power and heated seats, 20"+ wheels, etc. Very few buyers would pay the current asking prices for a boxster if it did not include these amenities...

I can't say that I agree as I would gladly take a 997 or 987
over a 986 or 996. The earlier cars have a very tame looking front end and the panel gaps make them look very dated when you compare them to the later 987/997 cars that just look higher quality and...

18's or 19's should not be a problem on the car
as they were a factory option. Tire brands/models is a matter of opinion to some extent. I never put top tier priced/performance tires on my car (michelin, BF goodrich, etc.) and instead put...
