US Rear bumper guard cover

I know it may seem a silly question, but ....

Can the rear bumper rectangular guard covers be removed thus leaving the bumper looking like European models???
I live in Gibraltar (Europe) but the cayman I am considering is US spec.
Therefore I would like to fit a european rear rectangular licence plate and was wondering if it's possible to remove these guard covers.

Thank You

Bumperettes can be removed, but the mounting brackets will still have to come off then, leaving rather ugly holes.
Fortunately they should be hidden by the wide European licence plates.

Thanks BoxsterSteve

Will see how it looks, though knowing me, I would rather keep it as standard US specs.
Just food for thought.

Thanks again

There is a conversion panel: Porsche Rear Bumperette Removal Plate | cheetahonline
