If you want loud, the GHL is probably one of the loudest widely available systems out on the market. You sound like a good candidate for the GHL.

It is sightly louder with the bypass pipes, but not much more since it was pretty loud already. The pipes did not pass emissions here in Vancouver, so I had to put the cats back on for the test. Luckily it's easy bolt on and only every 2nd year.

If you search my post, I have dyno test with all the bolt on, but I didn't dyno the car at stock.

I did notice some gains from the pipes when I first install it, but I'm so use to it now that I don't notice it.

has anybody checked these exhaust. these are the OEM exhaust with 1" bypass pipes. these are in Europe but I am thinking on modifying mine. What do you think.

I have done this, plus I placed tips on mine, the tips did not come out perfect but the sound is so good I will leave it just like it is.

97 and 98 dont have 2 sets of cats, just one, so only 2 cats.
therefore no need for cat bypass for those models.
