When you removed the calipers, you let air into the ABS control system, which will not come out during a simple flush/bleed. To get it out, you need a Porsche specific scan system that can activate the ABS system while bleeding it. This is the only way to now get the air out. Durametric software, PST II or PIWIS will do the job.

Thanks for that. I have an enthusiast Durametric which has that faculty. Do I need to have the pressure bleeder connected whilst activating ?

It would be much easier and quicker to do it that way, just follow the sequence as the Durametric tells you and the air will come out.
