Does anyone have or know how to secure the mating, 4 round pin connector pictured here right above the A/B sensor? It would be good if there were still leads in as well. I believe this is for the old mobile phone option. It is the one just sticking through the triangle

Yep, that looks like the plug for connecting the Porsche phone option back in the day.
I believe all early Boxsters had that plug installed at the factory so if a phone was ordered as an option the wiring was already in the car.
It is a great source of switched power for any accessories you add that might need power when the ignition is turned on.

When I put a nitrous system in I used those wires for the controller. Just cut that connector off and crimp on whatever connector type you want. Why keep the legacy connector?

Pin 1 - Term 30 (B+ Hot all times) - Red/Grn
Pin 2 - Term 15 (B+ Switched) - Grn/Blk
Pin 3 - Telephone Mute - Yel/Blk (wired to amp I15 and radio A3)
Pin 4 - Term 31 (Gnd) - Brn

Yes you are quite correct it would be best to cut off and go new but as it happens I'm an electrical nincompoop so I was trying to make it simple for myself I'm sad to say I don't know how to or have the tools to wire up connecters and pins but will learn and do. Yes I wanted a whole accessory harness to just snap in. Not sure what use pin three gave you?

Nitrous???? Please create a whole new thread..... pictures!! At least show us the GO switch. Did you have to change engine internals?

I used the nitrous system to get some more power from a 2.5L engine that was already on it's way out. The plan was to keep putting bigger jets in until mayhem. In reality the engine was dumping it's coolant too fast. I had to let it cool for about 30 minutes between runs before I could refill it. Nobody wanted a big puddle of oil and coolant on the dragstrip at 9:00 pm, so we never got to see the full potential. Steve how much current do you think you draw on this circuit? I think it is a 7.5 Amp one...

Becker used to sell the other side of the phone connector, the plug with about 3-4' of wire coming off. I think I paid about $20, but I'm not sure if they still sell them. Might be worth calling them before replacing the plug or trying to find another that fits.

Thanks for this! I did try Becker in the US for this and the message I got back is no longer stocked...do you remember what outfit you bought from?

My plan is a future proof set up. Connect up to this with a terminal block such that one can add additional loads as needed. The block will be powered by the switched 12V and connected to ground lead. The other pins in the mating connector (if I can find it) will be removed or blanked. This will keep the constant 12V lead capped and out of the way.

I will post it here when figure out what terminal block to use.....this is easier than making a harness. The problem is where to mount using screws

I found one on ebay, at least I think it was ebay, about 2 years ago when I bought a rear deck with speakers. I'll check my records tonight and let you know. They can be found.

I purchased it direct from Becker, but it was probably 10 years ago. I suggested calling because you never know what they might still have lying around, but it sounds like you already thought of that.

Looks like I purchased mine back in 2017 off of eBay like I remembered. It also looks like the source was Becker Audio too. At the time, they had several of them. Another option is to ask one of our forum members who is parting out a car to just whack one off. I paid $20.00. Good luck.
