Hello Geekdaddy, I had several X1/9's as well, and actually got married on one :-)
You can imagine the bride on the passenger seat with the wedding dress and all the trimmings on..

I bought my 1978 X1/9 new, and sold it in 2016 (38 years later) because I stumbled across my 2000 S at a price too good to pass by. My garage was not large enough to hold yet another car, and so something (the X) had to go.

Farewell pictures that I took before I sold it: https://s1152.photobucket.com/user/dave80gtsi/library/1978%20X1-9?sort=9&page=1

Perhaps we should start a new "X1/9 Appreciation" thread!

Dave, thank you for the pictures, that was a beautiful X1/9 !! I am sure that you sold it very well.

The only thing I would have done to it, was first to remove the ugly ladder bumpers and replace them with the '74 bumpers and second to install the Uno Turbo engine that has been sitting on my garage for more than a decade..

Thank you for sharing this pictures :-)

PS: My first X1/9 was a 1980, then a 1986 (the one I got married in), another 1986 (bought NS around 1998-99) then another 1984-85 (..?) and a '74 that I was planning to restore but lost the storage (and the car..)

Garage
Beautiful X1/9! I owned a 1978 until 1985. It was never as nice or as tastefully modded as yours but I loved it and wish I never sold it.
