I know this is not a first time question here so...
First I type this into a search engine: site:986forum.com gear ratio
Then I pick one of several results:

Which was posted here in 2012: 986 Sport 6Speed Gear Chart
But as stated, it is published in the owners manual.

The chart is about the mechanical linkage, not engine power. Shaft from the engine inputs rpm1 to the transmission, transmission outputs to driveshaft at rpm2, wheel circumference rotates over asphalt at a rate of 'distance' per 'time'. Find a long down hill slope and it should work.

The chart in the back of my 2.5 owners manual has a little different chart. This chart reflects what I see when i'm driving the car. 6,500 RPM's in 3rd gear = 86 MPH GPS verified or 89 mph on the speedo.

Sounds good and I think that you actually have the *correct* answer for the OP's question then. I didn't post the 5-speed chart and I don't know the source. I bet it's from a 2000 or later. It matches up with the chart from the online version of the 2003 model (AV1 142 in the top right).

I don't wish so, because no autobahn around here.... One big reason I bought a 2.5 car is its relatively short gearing so I can wind out gears, esp 2nd and 3rd, without going crazy fast beyond legal speed limit. On a ramp to interstate highway, 3rd gear topping just over 80 mph is perfect to enjoy that awesome engine growl, same with 2nd on back roads posted with 50-mph limit.
As already posted, the chart is correct but the top speed depends on engine torque and you won't be able to rev into red in the top gear...
