Yes, I agree with Brad, your fronts probably have cracks, mine did after around 110,000, my backs didn't but I think they had been previously replaced. Lemforder makes a front, but I only ever going oem.porsche for the back.

The front tuning fork arms are hard to find, but they are a match to 997 rear track arms, I discovered this on the Meyle website on the page for their arms. It matches 986 front, 996 all 4 corners, 997 rear.
