New MOST adapter, WOW! Anybody try yet?

They claim this will connect aftermarket head units to MOST 986.

Anybody try one yet?

hmmm, you've peaked my curiosity. Who is going to be the guinea pig?

I've already installed the iSimple Tranzit BLUE HF Bluetooth converter for my CDR23 to give my iPhone access to my radio.

It would be really cool to replace the head unit with something more contemporary.

algiorda,

I'm also curious as my 996 has BOSE MOST. Rather not redo the whole system, just the head unit.

During my recent Continental install kerfuffle I spoke with Rod Birch at Car Audio Innovations https://cai-store.com/ to help sort things out. He is a guru when it comes to Porsche audio as far as I am concerned. I would be looking there for proven hifi solutions. He is not hot on the whole idea of the Continental pin outs with the LOC converter. Lets hope the Bluetooth actually works with the Continental. In hindsight I screwed up saving some money and should have gone to Rod at CAI. My $0.02

For what it's worth, Tore Bergvill (owner/manufacturer of the kits in the link) has a great reputation over at Rennlist. Extremely helpful with diagnosing electrical issues/anomalies. I'm planning on sending the ASK amplifier from mom's 987 to him to be repaired as to not suffer the same failure type again.

Check out the testing equipment he's created for specific Porsche parts (https://www.bergvillfx.com/index.php/services.html). He's thorough.

I'm in the market for a device like this. Searching around though the device on https://www.bergvillfx.com seems to be the same as the aliexpress.com. From the articles that I have read and people posted pictures, the stickers on the device from aliexpress are the same as the bergvillfx.com.

Does anyone know if there is a difference?

Can’t comment about the comparison with what’s on Aliexpress, but I just installed the part in the above url and I’ve been having good results. Seems to have the same features except for the swapping of the 12v switched and constant leads. But if you’re going this far might as well save $90 and just do the soldering yourself.
