I agree....it just misses the mark somehow. The stock is a little too chopped off as well, for my tastes but what else is there? The zeinntop is nice but requires a lot of work to install, even if it becomes available here at all!
I did find a stock top 986-563-005-01 is the part #.
http://porsche.parkplacestores.com/boxsterhardtop.html wants $2995 and only (yup, I called!) $5.00 shipping anywhere in Continental US. They also offer a 10% discount for PCA members making it $2700 delivered to my door in factory painted condition. It sure looks like a good way to go. The 987's take their own top and I can't find any used ones at all.
