Clutch Question?
I'm about to have the clutch changed on my 98 2.5L Boxster with a 120.000 miles on it. I'm just wondering if I'll have to change the Fly Wheel as well?

Hello,
you will know it if you have removed the clutch and tested the dual mass flywheel.
If you have a clacking noise while engaging clutch in 1 or reverse, that you definitely need one. In general at 120.000 miles and if it is the first one i would say change it.

I can't imagine a scenario where the original dual-mass flywheel was still good or good enough to re-use after 120,000 miles.
Assume that it needs to be replaced and you won't be disappointed.

I'm looking at buying a Flywheel from the US. I live in Australia and our steering wheels are on the right hand side of the car. Is this a problem?

Another Question: will a Sachs clutch kit work OK with a LUK flywheel?

Yes, I believe Sachs owns Luk.

Hello,
Sachs is a brand of the ZF Friedrichshafen AG.
LUK is a brand of the Schaeffler group (LUK, INA, FAG).
A 986 Sachs clutch kit will work OK with a 986 LUK flywheel. Why shouldn't it?
