Oil smoke

I rolled up to work the other day and all seemed fine. As I got out of the car (02 S. 82k miles) I could strongly smell burning oil. As I walked around the car I noticed smoke rolling out of the passenger side vent and a small amount from the right rear wheel well for about 20 seconds. Oil level reads the same, full. No drips or leaks. I drove it home cautiously with no problem or repeat. What the heck?

Dig deeper. It seems like you have a small leak that is dripping down on to the exhaust manifold(s). Catch it before it is a big leak ?

I had oil coming out the foremost spark plug tube on the right side and dripping on the exhaust = smoke and burning smell.

I need to change that before it gets bad...

Yes spar plug tubes will drip on exhaust and create lots of smoke and burning smell, even a little oil that you will not register as a low oil level leak.
