The window slide.

Is it really bad if people or myself for that matter forget to wait for the window to go down alittle when the top is up. It's hard to avoid it, because people forget to wait a sec, or they just don't get it, or I forget to tell them. Will this hurt the top or window if done repeatadly. What do you guys do?

I don't worry about it and just open the door. Rarely, I notice the window seems to momentarily 'catch' on the weatherstrip but so long as you aren't yanking or really shoving the door open, I don't think it will be an issue.

I've even had to open mine a few times with a completely dead battery. It snags but isn't the end of the world. I think it is designed to take a little bit of abuse.

Hey guys, thanks for the advice. I just wanted to make sure I didn't tear anything up. Anywho, do you guys think I need a battery conditioner even if I drive at least once every 2-3 weeks?

I have the Porsche battery maintainer that plugs into the cigarette lighter socket and it has done a great job for me. Not hard at all to connect/remove - no under hood work at all.

In the warm weather I don't use it with the driving frequency you mention, but cold weather is much harder on the battery - if the electrolyte charge level drops, then the battery can freeze and you're sunk.

A moment of silence for my dead battery.

Well, actually that happened last year while the car was in its 2nd year of storage. The storage place I used wasn't climate controlled and had no power source. I think that week when it hit -25 was the final blow!

This year I'm driving the car 5-7 days a week and toughing it out. And the Optima battery I installed is much better than OEM anyway.

The best maintenance!

Crank it up every morning and drive it all day!

I think I should be ok then. I keep the car in a temp controlled garage. I have the thermostat set at about 60 degreees. So the car never sits at very cold temps. Besides, anytime it's sunny and above 32, I ussually take her for a spin.
