Passenger Air Bag

I take my grandchildren sometimes in my car. As per my daughter in North Carolina the passenger seat can not have an airbag if there is a child seating in the seat. Has anyone removed or disabled the passenger air bag in a Boxster. Mine is 2003 S.
Thanks

You can get an airbag deactivation bar for the passenger side, however it requires a PIWIS to activate.
