Anyway, thanks for the confirmation. I have now ordered an Audi TT lock för my Boxster at a fraction of the Porsche price.
When you get it let us know how it goes, and maybe make a DIY or a photos/part number/sources thread

My right hand door/passenger side needs a new door lock assembly due to a failed microswitch, and while I have a spare used part, if the new part is not too expensive I may just get a new one, if I ever get around to that repair...
