DME is the software that allows the motor to communicate with the car. Different versions came in different years. The 101 book has an extensive write up on which years are compatible with which engines. The cost of purchasing the DME software and converting your car to e gas would likely make your build ridiculous price Wise. You need a 1999 3.4 with cable throttle as stated. That is the best and cheapest swap. That said, if you want a car with a lot of straight line power, that ain't what this car is about. Just my 2 cents.
