super charger?

hi, i know some of you HAVE to have a super charger on your boxsters..so my question is, how much better is the power? is it worth the $$? and also would it be possible for me to find a turbo charger for the car? i like turbos better but havnt found one for the car. Car is a 2000 boxster. -thanks kyle

I believe the 2.5L is out, 2.7L and 3.2L to follow.

The supercahrger question gets asked like every month or so...

The short of it is there are kits available, some people say they're great, some people have had engines expire.

YMMV.

Hi,

This topic has been beat to death over several threads. The bottom line(s) are:
  • The Boxster is what it is, there's not a great deal of improvement to be had even with SC.

    The Cost/Benefit ratio is pretty high/low on any performance Mods, including SC.

    In general, forcing any engine without doing some internal mods really pushes the original design and increased maintenance issues and the possibility of premature failure are significantly increased.
