Brand newbie

Hi all.
Just parked my 1999 boxster in the garage.
Purchased yesterday. Well proud.
Always loved the look of the boxster. Had a 911 but this is my first convertible Porsche.

However buying older classics do come with inherent probs. Hopefully only minor niggles.
But before I go into them.
Hello all.

Now, as mentioned and as this is the tech area, couple of niggles;
central locking not locking the doors.. Red LED flashes when button pushed, but no red light on the dash top and no locking.
Someone has told me that the keys might need re programming???
Also; might have some bearing, the passenger window drop down when you open/close the door, seems to operate bfore shutting the door, so the window actually shuts against the plastic trim of the roof.Pull the handle out then shut and click at the same time. but still cant lock the passenger door.
Cruise control; the green light comes on the dash but cant seem to set the speed.
looking forward to any help.

Garage
The micro switch in the door latch may be bad or in my case the cam that the switch rides against wore out. The door latch may need replaced There are some DIYs instructions on how its done if you search. Pelican Parts has a DIY for the 911 which is about the same.
