Coming out of hibernation

I have not been able to take my 2002 Boxster out for 13 months, it hasn't been started either.
I know, I'm terrible
I will be able to take her out in a couple of weeks when I'm back home, Does anyone have any advice on getting her back on the road,
I have a feeling the fuel would be bad but what about the oil?

OMG! Send it back to the factory for a complete rebuild! Or, fire it up, drive to the gas station and fill the tank, get the oil changed, and enjoy it.

What did you do to the car before it's hibernation - the answer could have a different perspective on what to do to get the car up and running again.....

The cars computer will adjust for the weakened fuel and oil lasts for millions of years so I think give it a good warm up to get everything relubed and up to temp and then take it on a nice spirited drive.

What made you put your Boxster in prison for a year?
It may forgive you though if you take it on lots of makeup drives.

January of this year I inherited / purchased a 2000 S with only 13K miles. The car had been sitting outside for over two years in San Jose California and driven less than 200 miles during that timeframe with nothing done to it. When I got it, I changed all of the fluids and drove it for 500 miles then changed them again. All is good and it runs great.

One suggestion: Before starting it up I would pull the fuel pump fuse ( on my 2000 S it is C4) and crank the engine over to build up oil pressure to ensure everything is well lube, then replace the fuse and start it up. That is what I did.
