In a word, yes. Now to qualify, if I am going to keep my new Porsche until warranty end and then sell it, then by all means, I am fine about 20K changes with top off.

However, if I am going to be financially liable for this car at some point, then, no way is 20K OK.

Even AMSOIL would tell you that you need to start changing oil filters around 10K to keep the synthetic oil OK.

Several credible tests on M1 suggest 12K is pushing it, w/o changes in oil filters along the way.

To me, a 7500 change is fine IF I am on the hook for the engine.
