I'm going for my first oil change next week since I bought my car about a year ago.....Its about 7500 miles since the car was changed (just changed prior to me buying it). The oil looks a little bit visually darker than I remember it. Perfectlap, when you say you noticed a huge difference, specifically, what did you notice?
