You don't have radio codes to lose. Your ECU will relearn its settings after a couple of runs. So maybe you lose window and seat settings.

I've read of people hooking up a 9 volt through the cigarette lighter (I don't know if the lighter socket is always live on a Canadian delivered car, it was on a US one). Since I never knew what was + and which - in the lighter, I didn't bother, just replaced the battery with a new one and reset things as I came across them. Since I was the only driver, I doubt I even did anything but reset my radio code (earlier model than your most radio one).
