Reminds me of a buddy's newborn baby. His wife turned to me, beaming with pride over her first little bundle of joy, and said, "Isn't he cute?"
The kid was just about as ugly as a bleached baboon.
So, with great enthusiasm and an upbeat tone, I said, "I've seen a lot of babies and that sure is one of 'em!"
My buddy and his wife smiled and never knew I skirted the truth.
