It looks perfectly seated to me. The tube is at the ridge/ stop and the clamp is between it and the notch.

Thanks for the reply! I have just replaced the spring-loaded clamp with a screw clamp. Tried to push the tubes together one more time with one neat trick - no go. I'll leave it like this, there are no oil leaks and no air leaks as far as I can tell.

Interesting. Your oil filler tube middle section has metal? braiding on it. Mine doesn't. Did you put that on yourself?

When I replaced my coolant tank recently I replace the oil filler tube, and the part number you list is what I got and no problem with fitting.

This is a spling clamp which holds two tubes together, the tube itself is 100% plastic of cause. I've reused the factory one at first but now I've put screw style clamp instead there. And yes, I've put everything together myself.
