It looks like the rear tires are poking out too far- this would cause tire to fender contact. Are there wheel spacers behind the wheels? Maybe the wheels are off a 911. They look like Porsche Sport Design wheels, a BBS 2-piece wheel that was optional for 2001. There was a Boxster and a 911 fitment. The Boxster is 9 x 18" and the 911 10 x 18". If you've got a 911 wheel on there it could be contacting the strut as well. The wheel size is stamped on the inside face and would be a good place to start searching. Also look for signs of contact on the strut.
