Magnumflow high perf dry filter for Boxster

I just got an email from ECS Tuning and it led me to this filter on their website:
2000 Porsche Boxster Roadster S H6 3.2L > Engine > Filter > Air Filter > ES#2575131 MagnumFLOW Pro Dry S Air Filter - 30-10090PDS

MagnumFLOW Pro Dry S Air Filter

High-performance reusable air filter

Featuring a polyurethane frame with two-layer synthetic-mesh pleated high-flow filter element. This unit fits directly in the stock air box for an easy upgrade to improve the sound, performance, and efficiency of your engine. It can be cleaned and reused multiple times for ease of future maintenance.
I did a quick search for Magnumflow and didn't see it mentioned on here. Is it new?

I have heard not to use oiled filters but this one is dry. Has anyone used it or had any experience?

I have a stock filter that I will be putting in the next time (well the first time) I access the engine, was just curious about this one...

Thanks

Steve

"High-flow" very likely means low restriction / low efficiency = more contaminant getting into your engine. Is a $74 engine air filter really going to make that significant a difference? ...and at what cost? Suggest you stick with the OE filter or a quality equivalent.
