They may not look as sturdy, but the "fingers" do appear to be hub-centric, and pilot the wheel. The slots aren't an issue, since it's the wheel bolt clamping load, and the resulting friction between parts, that prevents "slipping" on the hub, not the acutal bolt holes. If it were truly a shear fastener application, you would never use wheel bolts, but studs with no threads in the joint interface.

A quick Google as an example: http://www.maximummotorsports.com/store/index.php?main_page=tech_wheels_spacers

The fingers are there so it can be used on early cars. Which is why the holes are ob-longed. This is the only hub centric spacer that is made in sizes less than 15mm. You can spout off all you want but you opinion is just that an opinion, not backed by any knowledge or fact. It is ashame that the internet has because a place where ideas are based off of how many posts you leave and not by fact.

How is it that this is the only hubcentric spacer that is made in sizes less then 15mm ? Also, I don't want a spacer that's designed to work with "earlier cars", I want one that replicates the technology of my current Porsche, wherein the spacers are both bolt and hub centric. Furthermore, never mind how many posts I have, the real shame here is that the internet allows someone to simply sign up to a forum and immediately start endorsing products without knowing jack !

Allen,

Do you have any pictures of your boxster with 15mm spacers and stock 17's all around? Do you have the stock or ROW M030 suspension?

I am having my suspension updated to the row m030 next week and like the look of a wider stance but do not want to effect accelerated wear on tires, bearings or components. what is the recommended set of spacers. JD?

Given the proper application, accelerated wear on tires, bearing and or other components caused by spacers is a myth. What is your current wheel set-up ?

I purchased 14mm rear and 7 mm front H&R spacers through a friend. Unfortunately I have not had a chance to install them yet. Was planning to paint the calipers and install the spacers at the same time, just waiting for the weather to warm up (for more than 1 day.....damn Ohio weather).

I don't know. Whatever was stock in 1999 on a base model. I am in Ohio right now, so I can not check.
