My 2004 s is new to me and the lid on the driver's door pocket is flaking, I was able to find a new lid with bracket but have no idea how to dislodge to old brackets. The new one looks likes it jest pops in if i could get the old ones out. Insights, please.

Thanks,

Doug

Really easy! There are 2 brackets under the lid, push the pin out of each bracket and the lid is in your hands. Just like a door i n your house with an added spring.

Flaking is normal, consider repaint or covering with either leather or drycarbon like DiNoc from 3M.
Do a little search for examples.

I covered mine in leather. Take a look at Pics in my garage.
