The rear bumper is easy to remove and makes access to changing the muffler much more manageable. It is just a matter of removing all screws. Lower, upper, wheelwell and behind the rear bumperettes and plate. The rear spoiler has to be removed to access the upper screws which is done by removing the plastic plugs and removing the screws underneath. I cannot remember if the spoiler is held on with srews, torx or allen.

I recommend presoaking some of the clamp bolts with penetrating oil in advance.
