Didn't get to go to R Shack for test but replaced with the original door speakers (woofers). Much better. i.e. this is what this car's amp needs. One woofer is broken so have to fix it but the bass thumping is gone or insignificant. Still playing around with the settings so not at the optimal level yet but am happy.

Found the antenna wire. Was buried pretty deep. Radio works now.

Anyone know what this wire is for? Found it hanging around behind the CDR220 and heating control unit in the center console. Looked around and couldn't find anything that this connects to.
