I couldn't be happier with my NA 3.8 in my 03 S. I would not remotely consider adding boost to an M96 motor, unless it was fully built with upgraded sleeves, Pauter rods, ARP bolts, IMS upgrade, etc.

For the money that you'd have in a properly engineered and installed turbo kit, you could just have a big 996/997 NA motor.
