Help please! Roll cage install problem

I'm having a problem with the install of my Stable Energies (Safety Devices) roll cage. The main roll bar front feet holes do not come close to fitting the studs on the car. I may have to whack the studs off (get your mind OUT of the gutter) and weld some nuts into the box section. Does anyone know what is in the box section behind the seats where the roll bar bolts to? Is the locating pin also a shear restraint pin? Is there another solution that is better than what I'm thinking?

Overview of the roll bar in the car

Closeup of the foot with only one stud poking thru

Stud and locating pin (shear pin?) locations

Possible solution by welding in a nut and removing stud and pin

Thanks in advance,

CW

Not to be funny, but what do the instructions say? From the picture, it looks like the hole spacing on the bracket all the way to the left matches the existing studs spacing on the car - I presume there is an issue with the other side's fitment if you use those?

If this detail is not covered in the instructions, why not give the mfgr a call? If things aren't lining up, there could be something wrong with the part itself. The whole point of what you've bought is safety - I'd trust the folks that designed and made it to provide the best info on how it should be installed and to consult/explain if you are having problems.

Good luck...

Sorry, I should have mentioned I bought the cage second hand

But I am giving Stable Energies a call on Monday. And yes, you presume correctly that the holes on the other side would not line up. The bar was centered in the car (and between the attchment points) for the pics.

Thanks for the reply,
CW
