battery dead, how to open front trunk?

ok my battery is dead and i can not get my trunk lever to open so i can jump start the car. tried a jump the car using a cigarette to cigarette lighter charger i got at pepboys. but as it was charging, the alarm horn and lights went off during the entire time.

im thinking that the alarm was draining the battery so it never got enough power to allow me to get the trunk lever to work.

any ideas>

i need to get the trunk lever open. i have a 2003 boxster.

thanks in advance for your help.

there are a lot of posts on this topic, but...

there is a jumper post in the fuse box that you can pull out, hook up a portable battery and pop the frunk.

if that doesn't work, there is a pull cable ( usually situated ) under the passenger side headlight assembly that can be accessed from the wheel well if you pull back the plastic. some owners have been known to reroute it behind the tow plug in the front bumper so check there before messing with the wheel well plastic.

Cigarette Lighter

If you're near a power source you can always plug a battery tender into the cigarette lighter.
