vibration when cornering

Hi i have a 97 Boxster has a vibration only felt when excelerating out of a corner through the seat shockers are new rear tires are new dosnt feel like a tire ballance problem frequancy of vibration is too fast(High).

Check wheel bearings. If the front motor mount has not been changed it is toast.

Do you have 18 inch wheels or bigger? Porsche advised against this on 1997 due to wheel bearing strength. Porsche upgraded the wheel bearings later in 1998 I think

Thanks fitted with 17 inch wheels (standard) Front motor mount has not been changed by me. Only noticed it so far on left hand turns.Wheel bearing/Drive shaft could be was thinking that.Only had it about 12months 20km will check wheel bearings and engine mounts thanks for the tips.

To test your motor mount, pull the carpeting and inspection plate behind the seat to expose your serpentine belt and pulleys. With the car in neutral, start the motor and blip the throttle to 3000 rpm a few times. If you watch the motor and it is flopping around like a fresh mackerel on the pier, you need a new front mount. A new mount every 30K is a good rule of thumb. Maybe more often if you drive winter salted roads.

Safety note: If you stick your hand through the inspection plate with the car running, the belt and pulleys with promptly remove your fingers.

Check for anything rubbing. I had a crimp on wheel weight hitting the shock just enough to make a racket everytime that I went around a corner when the suspension would allow the wheel to move just enough to rub.
