In fact, it's worse than described. With the Sprint Booster the throttle reaches 100% at 75% pedal throw. After that (from 75% to 100% flat on the floor) nothing happens because the throttle is already full wide open.

As I said, just drive with a lead foot and it's the same.
Thanks for posting the link. Reaffirms my original thought that it's just a gimmick and I can ignore the youtube vid. I tend to avoid manufacturers websites as the opinions are of course, biased. Their website though is surprisingly balanced.

Anyways, gimmick or not - I'd rather put that $300 towards Nine's cool wind deflector he's working on!

I love the Sprintbooster. I know very well what it does and how it works, but it makes the car feel so much better. And to me, that's what it's all about...

My girlfriend's 4 cyl RAV4 is pleasant to drive partly because it's peppy at low speeds and feels like it has a lot more to give (but it doesn't). Once at half throttle there isn't a much left. But this must be how they do it.

The product can be tried for free..........30-DAY MONEY BACK GUARANTEE* This is a product that you need to 'feel' to believe - we are so confident that you will LOVE this product, we are offering a 30-day money back guarantee - no questions asked.

Can't ask for much more than that....!

My 2.7 Boxster (5 spd) really needs to be pushed to feel it's power, which is kinda limited. This might be what it needs for drivability reasons. But $289 is a lot for the product. I'll keep an eye on this thread until Spring when it comes out of Winter storage.

Just so we're all clear - I bear no ill will towards the SprintBooster! And as Giller said, SprintBooster is refreshingly honest about their product, so they deserve kudos for a clear and honest website.

Just wanted to explain how it works so people know what they're getting for their money. If this is something of interest to you, go for it.

Sprint Pooster ?

I thought I would chime in. I have my Sprint Booster for over a year now. No other 986 Boxster S mods but the desnorkeling. Feels like a 20 hp boost instantly. There is no way could I mimic the instant throttle response by pushing down the pedal more. The company states that it does not make any more power, however it does change the "feel" and puts a smile on my face everytime. If you don't want to spend $289 on your 20K+ toy don't. I have no regrets and it will remain as long as I own my baby ! Nuff said.
