Engine turns off when it gets to 180-185F

Hello everybody,
I have been reading all types of things on 986 forums for a while but had never become a member. Well I did, very nice forum.

I have a problem with my baby 2000 986/Boxster. It started without any previous signs, just one day coming home I slowed down before a speed bump and he turned off. He did not turned on after that, I had to push it home. I waited like two hours and then tried and he started right away. A couple of days after I was warming it up to see what he would do and when. I had it in my garage running from starting temperature to about 185F, he was running excellent and then suddenly engine shutted off. After this i tried to start it and nothing.

I have no clue what this could be, and I dont know if there could be anu relation with the fact that he had the water pump replaced the last week of august.

HELP PLEASE !
If somebody knows anything about this please let me know.

Thanks.
