Do a search here and on RennTech and you'll find instructions.

Rick is correct. I went straight to the "top issues" section of Renntech, as well as Mike Focke's excellent site. My 2000 S had some differences from Mike's instructions but it wasn't too hard to figure out what was different.

I will say, however, that it was one of the more frustrating and difficult things I've ever done to a car. I'd do two clutch changes on a front-wheel-drive before doing another top.

Yeah to that. On my 3rd top now, and the $400 (avg.) labor cost at a reputable top shop; is a bargain! Just be sure that the particular facility has done 1 or 2 986 tops before they do yours.....
