6spd transmission input shaft seal

Hi Lil Bastard,
Thank you for your reply. The seal certainly looks like it can be replaced from the Belhousing side and once I recieve the seal I am certainly going to attempt it. Is there another way that is consider proper that is much more labour intensive? The reason I am asking is a local transmission shop quoted me 6 hour labour to do the job ($576.30) - thats with the transmission already out of the my car and delivered to his shop. I really wish my Bentley manual covered this as I do not like using my Porsche as a gini pig!
