How much power can the stock porsche clutch handle?

Just what it says... On a 1999 with a new sachs clutch, how much crank horsepower can this thing handle? is 200 the limit or what? I have seen some guy on here who did a 3.4 swap and is using the stock clutch!!! Is that crazy? or do they just make these clutches beefier because its going on a porsche?

I would upgrade the clutch disc and plate. The stock clutch wouldn't last too long with a 3.4L in there I would imagine. Slip may be an issue as well. Considering the labor involved in changing the clutch it just makes sense to do.

Several people on here have moded the heck out of the 2.7L engine matched with a stock 5-spd w/o an issue. I've been told the 2.7L clutch kit could work on the 2.5L tranny because the splines line up,just something to consider. From what I know the 2.7L clutchs are bigger.

The stock clutch works fine. I had over 15k miles on my 3.4 and now have over 5k with the 3.6 on the same clutch. It is the Sachs sport version, but the stock holds up fine as well. These engines really aren't producing huge amounts of torque.
