My local dealer replaced my horn actuator plate (found beneath the airbag on my 4 spoke steering wheel) just last week for $198.00 including parts and labor.

Man, it was bad to have that go out within a week of ownership. Here I am, tooling around in my dream car and I downshift hard while braking to avoid rear ending a car in front of me and the horn goes off. The guy in front of me taught me some sign language and I know he was thinking "rich $#@!% driving the Porsche doesn't want to wait in traffic like the rest of us!"

I didn't care how much it cost, I just had to get it fixed before I got a baseball bat in the windshield from a ticked off driver. Hey, this is Houston. Betcha didn't know that 2 out of every 5 drivers carry a loaded weapon with them in their cars!

Tell me, what other little surprises can I expect from owning my 97 boxster that might get me shot or beat up?
