How to Check Engine Oil Level in a Porsche Using a PIWIS Tester

To accurately check the oil level in your Porsche, use a PIWIS Tester, which provides greater accuracy than the standard instrument cluster method. This process is essential after every oil change to determine how much oil needs to be added to achieve optimal levels.

Steps:
1. Plug in the piwis 3 and turn the ignition on.
2. Start the diagnostic program and select the vehicle.
3. In the overview, go to DME control unit and press [F12] to continue.
4. Go to the "Maintenance/Repair" menu and press [F12] again.
5. Select the Oil Fill function and press [F12].
6. Start the engine and run until the oil temperature reaches 90°C, accelerating if necessary.
7. The oil level measurement will start automatically as soon as temperature is reached.
8. Stop the engine.
9. Fill the PIWIS Tester II with the specified amount of oil.
10. Finally, remove the tester.

Thanks for acknowledging me here in the back row!
Question, this procedure seems to indicate idling the engine up to temperature.
Yet we are told repeatedly that this is one of the worst practices for our engines with oil dilution issues.
How are these ideas reconciled?

I'm interested is seeing how this works:

9. Fill the PIWIS Tester II with the specified amount of oil.

Is this a for sale thread for an off-brand PIWIS?

And Matt doesn't seem to care that these threads pop up everywhere across the forum pitching competing equipment to Pelican.
