Yet California is the 5th largest economy in the world, surpassing the UK. The biggest in the USA for sure.
They carry the load for all the red states when it comes to federal funding. So instead of ********************ing about the California Democrats, why not demand that the red states pull their weight so to alleviate the deficit hole that Rumpy sank us into?

I was in part being facetious, Man. However...
Pull their weight? **************** that. I'm scouting red states for a relocation. I can't forever support everybody and their ****************ing babies, entitlement programs, and plethora handout socialist programs. I'm getting old. What if my car needs a repair or parts?

I'm guessing you are being facetious again but I'll bite. I'm getting old as well but I would be more concerned about repairs and parts to my own body at this juncture rather than my car. But then again I live is a 'socialist' country where health care is a right not a privilege for the rich so I do have money for repairs and parts for my cars.
Canada's entire population is roughly that of California and our taxes are likely very much higher but over the course of my 65 years I have learned to appreciate what we have up here in the Great White North more and more.
There I'm stepping off my soap box. Sorry for hijacking this thread.

Come over to the "sanctuary city" of Pittsburgh. Cost of living is way low, and I'll show you around!

Ya know, I see this repeated a lot. It means exactly jack squat.
A large economy? Yes. The state has a lot of people (yet another reason to avoid it).
Of course it has a large economy.
Successful?
At some $370,000,000,000 in debt, I think not.

If that's your only measure for success, than you admit your boy Rump is a colossal failure.

We are all Americans. Remember when that meant something?
Thanks a lot for being part of the wedge splitting this country. I hope you’re proud of yourself.

Resident Rump! He's a con, a crook. a narcissist, he kisses up to Putin and other dictators and trashes our allies. And I voted for him! Big regret.
And speaking of wedge, have you been paying attention to what Rump is doing?
It's not about partisanship this time. I was OK with Reagan, Bush 41 and Bush 44, although I disagreed with them on a lot of issues.
This guy is bad for America. Period. This is the guy who, after 9/11, went on the radio and said that he now has the tallest building in Manhattan. He only gives a $h!t about himself and his wallet. The sooner people wake up the better.
